I wrote about Lobak around 3 months ago, but that was another stall that's famous around this area. Well the one I'm about to review has its own fame and fans as well, as it's also been operating for 2 generations, so you can imagine how good they are.
They moved to this new place called 168 Kopitiam (Meru) Klang after the old place, Emporium Makan, need to be demolished to give way to the constructions of monorail by the government. This Kopitiam is also the same one I made the review of Satay a month ago if you remember! Inside there are all kinds of gems that's waiting to be explored!
As you can see the stall was operated by 2 old couple, so the customers actually need to come to pick up their own order after they choose and pay for the food, as both of them are just too busy to do the delivery if you choose to dine there.
All the food will be reheated by fried another round after you choose the items so the crunchiness will remain.
Lobak is a very simple dish, where most of the things are fried. Simple and yet delicious. You don't need too many varieties, just like me, I always pick the main 4 items every single time I come to take away this food, which is the Lobak, the Popiah (spring roll), the fried yam cake and the fish ball. Today I added the Chinese style Sausage as a special treat!
Most of the time it comes down to the sauce that distinguishes which stall you will like at the end of the day. Because to be honest, the Lobak in each stall is basically almost the same types of fried food.
Let's see what I got!
I don't actually need to say how delicious the food is, because they really are, just look at them! But I like the sauce from the other stall better compare to this one.
Overall
I would come back again, definitely because we can't always eat the same place, once a while we need to change a bit to make food less boring, right?! Haha...
Thank you for reading my review, hope you enjoy it. See you in my next post!
