the whole aqueduct descends by only 12.5 meters...or..... 41 feet over its entire length of 31 miles.....
which indicates the great precision that Roman engineers achieved....
and it carried an estimated 40,000 cubic meters.....or 9,000,000 imp gallons of water per day to the citizens of the republic!
yes.....i think we can call this an engineering marvel...
considering it was build around 41 to 54 AD ....during the reign of emperor Claudius ...
