The direct effect of capitalism is that companies have to compete with each other by fleshing out their products to be the very best and most attractive to their clients, with the exponential advancement on every STEM field these products are becoming more and more perfected. Its obvious why the newer generations are becoming so fat and lazy and addicted to pleasures like video games, food, movies, music etc. Hundreds of thousands of skilled educated scientists, engineers and others are studying all over the globe to come up with the most enticing product for their companies.
The level of sophistication is only growing.
Computer graphics are becoming unbelievably good and realistic, VR(virtual reality) goggles are still in early development, they're designed to make the game experience even more immersive.
It's no wonder why in first world nations the newer generations are becoming fat, and addicted to video games. Student grades are going to keep getting worst as kids and teens won't be able study when they could be playing highly addictive ultra immersive video games.
Especially in america, obesity has become a huge problem, this is because of the prevalence of fast food advertising and frequency of fast food restaurants.
These fast food ads are made with extreme attention to detail, to make them extremely appealing.
When you're in a shopping center and you're in the restaurant floor and you smell McDonalds you can notice the smell is unique to McDonalds, you can't find that smell in normal food, can you? That smell is a mixture of who knows what chemicals discovered by very well educated chemists to be the most enticing smell they could come up with. Everything McDonalds does is to entice the consumer. They have extreme care with everything, the ads, the taste addictiveness, smell, look of the restaurant, the logo, everything is made to draw you in, and all these things are perfected by highly specialized people.
When I eat a snack from vending machine I can almost taste the chemicals making me want to eat more, the snack it self doesn't even need to be that good it just needs to be addicting for me to keep buying.
This will end up having a very bad effect on society, people will become fatter and lazier, birth rates will continue to plummet. With comfort the first world is also becoming hyper emotional to the point of making very bad decisions.
