Every Unique Picture Takes Me To Lalaland
While some are cold up North here we are enjoying a strange summer with hot, humid days, currently a cool breeze with rains once again. Oh I do love the cool days, strange as it might sound everything comes to life as soon as the sun comes out once again!
Why are we in hiding when everything carries on as if nothing ever changes except the heat or cooler temperatures, each flower, insect, reptile carries on business as normal.
Many flowers show up in the garden I do not know what it is, beauty in nature captures the eye enough to take me on a journey, finding out eventually.
Impala lily did not last very long in flower due to too much rain I think, pretty show with at least eight blooms to colour the garden with flushing red/pink this month.
Exceptionally young Olive snake enjoying a tiny little mouse for brunch, not poisonous to humans another first time after researching.
Unique in every sense of my world, a golden shongololo going uphill on the wall, first time for everything in nature I wonder if this is an albino?
Bird seed fall out into a pot taking on life with regrowth, close to the feeder for the birds to now enjoy fresh!
Wild garlic in bloom, this whole plant is edible, think about nature right outside your door that is able to flavour your food, leaves can be rubbed using as insect repellent as well.
Red rose in full bloom once again, does not grow tall but trails through other plants.
Extremely active enjoying the sunlight is the White breasted sunbird, small little bird is he with a lovely tune to share here in Lalaland.
Butterflies appear with sun, turning the blue dot to purple depending on how the light hits the colour on the wings.
Guavadilla similar to (Yellow Passion fruit) flower, we will see little of the fruit with monkeys around.
Daily troop of monkeys going through the garden with Woody closely watching this one, perhaps if he loved the guavadilla I might get one or two myself! To the left of the dog is a Natal plum tree which the monkeys love to eat, Spekboom alongside another edible plant.
Being an exceptionally wet summer we have had dragon flies of every shape and size floating around, sometimes swarming unfortunately too small to capture through the lens.
Red shongololo getting their groove on, it's summer love a time to be active outdoors enjoying all that is on offer!
Caterpillar chomping it's way into the next generation, circle of life before ones eyes, go out and take a look...
The days are winding down for this December, wandering around Lalaland not so bad at the end of the day armed with a camera keeping out of mischief, to bring to you the warmth of Summer Love here in Durban.
