Finding Oneself In Lockdown
Daily life continues whether confined to the realms of the home or slowly approaching the world battling an unseen invasion, we all paddling the same boat upstream, combating boundaries and elements in our space called home.
View of my valley, a river runs through here graciously running to the sea, overlooking sugar plantations with patches of original wooded areas in between. Daily walks take me around the garden let us see what is out today, I am saving bird photography for another day.
Now the hunt begins... A Golden Bug perched on a leaf, smaller than your pinkie nail.
No descriptions no name tags, some of what we see on walks peeking into the plants or peeking out, scuttling away at speed or simply looking up considering their next option, yikes that crazy woman and dog are out again!
Plants to attract insects, indigenous is best, plants not needing watering during dry season, not too much manicuring when you get older, gardening is about thinking ahead with a little planning.
Although my garden is well settled this time spent is thoroughly enjoyable finding what lives within the perimeter of my walls, perhaps a small tweak here or there may be required.
Some have settled in and decided this may be a good home....
Planting seedlings (fortunately I bought in February) have been planted into containers, when they start sprouting a little bigger I will add a little about how they do too.
In closing off the day, always a sunset or sky photography of the mood on the day leaving us to consider what tomorrow will bring us.
