So i was in church yesterday, although i got it a little late because of drama rehearsals, and the message was quite interesting
What wisdom is
The pastor was basically going through a list of some of the things wisdom would do. Kinda like saying "What would Jesus Do".
More specificallly, one of the points he made got me thinking.
Wisdom is delaying gratification.
I thought to myself, this applies to so many aspects of our lives including steemit.
A lot of the time we tend want to reap and enjoy the profits of our investments as they come but i learnt yesterday or rather i was reminded that it is wise to delay.
Suffer now enjoy later.
Most people have not exactly invested money into steemit but they have invested time and intellect, then when they get the rewards they are eager to cash out and enjoy it.
But it is wise to put these profits back into the system. Let is yield even more.
Instead of cashing out, how about you power up, give someone a good upvote and that person is sure to want to follow you which definitely increases your rep and coverage and your profit. Also, i don't theres any ban on upvoting yourself.
This applies to other aspects like our personal finances the likes.
WISDOM IS DELAYING GRATIFICATION
I just thought i'd share.
