Pride will not allow a proud person admit that he/she is proud
This singular reason makes pride the worst of the seven deadly sins.
Pride will destroy a person while giving the person a fake sense of accomplishment so he/she doesn't even realise his/her own destruction
Pride is what gives birth to narcissism in my opinion because it takes pride to utterly disregard the feelings of others, placing your own on a pedestal of importance so high it makes every little thing look like an assault on your ego or your personality.
While self preservation is important, it doesn't give anyone the right to belittle someone else no matter the context.
Humility is not letting people ride you or use you or abuse you, NO, humility is been able to admit to ur flaws and mistakes and been willing to accept probable corrections towards self improvement regardless of who is doing the correction.
God used a donkey to correct ballam, imagine he was too proud to listen or felt insulted by it.
Humility is not seeing someone doing wrong and letting them continue, it is correcting them in such a way that they see reasons why they need the correction.
Humility is as simple as saying sorry when you know deep down that you have offended someone, or saying thank you when you receive something even if it was your right to have that thing. Been willing learn or teach without prejudice.
The best cure for Pride is Love. I don't mean love in the intimate sense of it. I mean love like treating others the way we would want to treated. Tolerating the short comings of one another. Politely leading others the right way when they are going thr wrong way.
