I got up this morning and made a better mask for my granddaughter to wear on the plane if she chooses to fly. She is very apprehensive about flying during the pandemic and I don’t blame her. I had already made her one mask and mailed it to her, but I wanted to send her another mask so that she could have two available to wear.
My granddaughter has been flying on an airplane since she was two years old. She has always spent every summer with her father, me and her grandfather who all live in different states than her mother. She usually travels to three different states during the summer months.
Even though the chances are slim that she would catch a bad version of the Corona virus, her father and I are leaving the decision up to her. She is a teenager and is capable of flying by herself.
In any regard, I wanted her to be ready and have some choices with protecting her face. The airlines require a mask on board and some are providing masks for customers that do not have one available.
My granddaughter loves pink so I made this latest mask in her favorite color. I also included a wire along the nose bridge that will keep her sunglasses from fogging up.
I think that she will like it since I also embroidered her name on it.
Enjoy your day.
