Corrientes, a city full of traditions (Welcome ¨Karaí¨¨October¨)

Es increíble que haya pasado más de diez días de la última vez que compartí como ha sido mi día en esta genial ¨DailyBlogCommunity¨:  Hoy será un día de muchas tradiciones, viviremos muchas emociones al conmemorar una tradición que llevo más cincuenta años haciéndolo en compañía de mi familia; estas tradiciones las aprendí de mis padres y abuelos, las compartí y viví con mis hijos y hoy compartiendo y viviendo en compañía de mis nietos. Esta es la manera de asegurarnos que las tradiciones de nuestro pueblo continúen por siempre vigentes

It's incredible that it's been more than ten days since the last time I shared what my day was like in this great ¨DailyBlogCommunity¨:  Today will be a day of many traditions, we will experience many emotions as we commemorate a tradition that I have been doing for over fifty years in the company of my family; I learned these traditions from my parents and grandparents, I shared them and lived them with my children and today sharing and living in the company of my grandchildren. En esta zona del mundo, especialmente en mi ¨Ciudad¨ de ¨Corrientes¨ estamos celebrando el día del ¨Karaí¨ ¨Octubre¨:  una tradición que se lleva a cabo para alejar a los días de escasez y necesidad, atrayendo a la prosperidad y la abundancia. Como tradición familiar este es un día para estar en familia reunidos, y mientras los hombres de la casa preparamos el fuego y hacemos el tradicional asado, las mujeres transmiten a los niños el significado de esta tradición, mientras preparan exquisitos platos.

As you could read in the link about the legend of ¨Karaí¨ ¨October¨:  know that it is essential to prepare well to receive the month of ¨October¨. As a family tradition, this is a day to be together as a family, and while the men of the house prepare the fire and make the traditional barbecue, the women transmit the meaning of this tradition to the children, while they prepare exquisite dishes.

Este día se trata de armar una mesa familiar y servir en abundancia, en mi hogar acostumbramos a preparar ñoquis caseros, empandas, arroz con pollo, asado a la parrilla, y de postre dulce de mamón, como este año la planta no dio frutos, hicimos una exquisita ¨pastafrola¨. Como pueden leer, pasamos gran parte de la mañana preparando los alimentos y escuchando nuestro tradicional ¨chamame¨, la música de nuestros ¨ancestros¨ que en sus letras hablan de las tradiciones, la vida de las personas humildes, y cuanto tuvimos que pasar para ser quienes somos. Tratamos que este día sea una celebración para afianzar el vínculo con los integrantes de la familia, un día tranquilo para recordar cosas que nos hacen bien y sobre todo felices. Otra celebración que se lleva a cabo en horas de la tarde es el ¨Oktober¨¨Fest¨:  y con tantas deliciosas comidas que consumimos es lógico bajar con un ¨chop¨ de ¨cerveza¨, si es artesanal mucho mejor.
