Aquellos que siguen mis publicaciones desde hace algún tiempo saben que cada semana tratamos de visitar un precioso rincón de la ciudad y compartir con todos cómo y dónde vivimos los correntinos. En esta oportunidad les quiero invitar a visitar este precioso ¨barrio¨:  que tenemos en esta parte de la ciudad.

Those who have been following my posts for some time know that every week we try to visit a beautiful corner of the city and share with everyone how and where we, the people of Corrientes, live. This time, I would like to invite you to visit this lovely "neighborhood" located in this part of the city.

Esta es una de las zonas más antiguas de la ciudad; esta zona es donde se llevó a cabo el descubrimiento de nuestro pueblo, por eso en este rincón hay mucha presencia de nuestras tradiciones. Si bien en otras ocasiones ya hemos visitado este precioso ¨paseo¨:  quería volver a visitar, ya que nos quedaron pendientes muchas preciosas obras que enseñarles.

This is one of the oldest areas of the city; This is the area where our town was discovered, which is why our traditions are so strongly represented in this corner. Although we have visited this beautiful promenade before, I wanted to return, as there were still many wonderful artworks left to show you.

Aquí se puede apreciar un imponente puente, un icono de la provincia que nos une con la ciudad hermana. Estas grandes estructuras por mucho tiempo han sido una molestia para la visión, pero en los últimos años los artistas encontraron la manera de que estas grandes columnas pasen desapercibidas; así fue como se creó este espacio llamado ¨Relatos-del-Iberá¨: 

Here, you can see an imposing bridge—a provincial icon that connects us to our sister city. For a long time, these massive structures were an eyesore, but in recent years, artists have found ways to make these large columns blend into the background; That is how this space called "Relatos del Iberá" was created:

La preciosa obra se llama ¨Forastero¨-del-¨Iberá¨:  y fue creada en la inspiración que produce la letra de nuestra música popular. El grupo de artistas que han realizado esta belleza son parte de un movimiento artístico llamado ¨paredesmagicas¨:  Estos artistas lograron fusionar en perfecta armonía nuestra música con el arte. En la obra podemos ver a una imponente ¨serpiente¨:  muy popular de nuestra tierra, rodeando con su musculatura las estructuras de nuestro icono provincial.

This beautiful work is titled "Forastero del Iberá" and was inspired by the lyrics of our popular music. The group of artists who created this masterpiece belongs to an art movement called "paredesmagicas" (Magic Walls). These artists succeeded in perfectly blending our music with art. In the piece, we can see an imposing snake—a very well-known species in our region—coiling its muscular body around the structures of our provincial landmark.
