I have also used some cedar fence plank places across the bottom with about 1/2 inch gap between. Then place the burlap over it. You could also cover the whole bottom and drill a bunch of 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch holes al over it. There are quite a few ways to make a good draining box. The way I tend to do it depends on what I have laying around. Lol
