Well in case you missed the newest Splinterland Update, it seems that there are some upcoming changes (or as they call it clean-ups XD) that is coming in the game.
One major change is in the Season Leaderboard Prizes. One that I am trying to compete in this new ongoing season. XD
Honestly if this announcement was released last season I wouldn't care but since I am trying to compete in the GOLD leaderboard I kinda care with this stuff now.

Anyways, my first initial reaction to the upcoming change above is "WHYYYY?!!! WHY WHEN I AM FINALLY MOTIVATED TO COMPETE IN THE LEADERBOARD? WHY NOWWW?!!!"
At first glance I hated it but reading the whole thing again it wasn't actually that bad. In fact I personally think this change is EVEN BETTER... at least for me!!!
And the reason is, I CAN FINALLY INCREASE MY ELIGIBLE PACKS for the Special UNTAMED Airdrops!!!
Although I believe there are only two airdrops left, but a little increase in my eligible packs is better than nothing.
Also, if this gets carried over once the UNTAMED pack series are sold out then if I really do well in the GOLD Leaderboards, I can then slowly increase my ELIGIBLE PACKS for giveaways slowly but surely without spending a single dime. XD
Although a part of me is also worried as to the impact this might cause in the market price of DEC. I am worried as I am really loving the current 1000 DEC = $1 USD value and I really think this might somehow affect once this change rolls out.
I mean RANK 1 in the CHAMPION Leaderboards alone automatically gets 200,000 DEC, RANK 2 there gets 150,000 DEC, RANK 3 gets 100,000 DEC. Those 3 alone gets almost half a million DEC what more if you count everyone that places a rank in the leaderboard!!!
I am not sure how much UNTAMED PACKS they give every season end before towards all rankers but with most of them already having max level cards, I think the only thing to do is cash it out?
Some might hodl for it until the next series pack comes out but asdjfljs dakiaudsf I don't know. Hopefully this will not affect much the value of DEC in the market. XD
