Hello, fellow aliens! I am new here in Hive and this is my second post on this platform. Funny thing is, when I saw the name of this community, the first thing that came to my mind is the alien sketch that I had in my drawing book.
I have already digitized that drawing but I thought I will recreate it from scratch.
Here is the output.
This is not final though. I still want to add some details.
I have named the species before, but I forgot what it was. Following the concept I used to name it though, I'm going to name this alien race Ta'oShan.
I drew this on my Huawei Matepad 10.4 with M-Pencil 2. I used Medibang Paint.
Duration so far: Approximately 3 Hours
The Process
Let me share with you the process
1. Pencil
Using the pencil brush, I sketched the outline.
2. "Inking" the outline
I converted the sketch layer from color to 8-bit and turned the color into the blue.
Then using the pen brush, with pressure sensitivity turned off, I traced the sketch to have the "inked" outline.
3. Coloring and detailing
I used several layers to add the colors. First the base color for the skin and a different layer for the gear.
The environment elements are on different layers as well.
Then I added more layers to the details
The Final Output Again.
