Today is the first Monday of 2026, and I went out to take some photos before 7:00 AM. Despite the events of the last few days, here in my town and practically throughout the country, things are completely normal. But the streets were deserted, so although I took several street photos, I decided to pick up the pace and walk east to leave the town center and venture onto some dirt roads that wind through pastures and farmland... And I'm so glad I made that decision!... So, please continue reading and enjoy these photos taken from mist-shrouded roads and trails...

Hoy es el primer Lunes de 2026 y salí a las calles a hacer algunas fotografías antes de las 7:00 AM, pues a pesar de los sucesos de estos últimos días, aquí en mi pueblo y en prácticamente en todo el país, hay completa normalidad en las calles. Pero las calles aquí estaban solitarias, así que, aunque hice varias fotos callejeras, decidí acelerar mi paso y caminar hacia el Este para salir del casco urbano y adentrarme en algunos caminos de tierra que atraviesan pastizales y tierras de cultivo... ¡Y me encantó haber tomado esa decisión, caray!... Así que, continúen adelante por favor y disfruten de estas fotos hechas desde caminos y senderos embebidos en neblina...

The same solitude I found in the streets, I found on these dirt roads. Despite it being almost 8:00 AM, I didn't even see any farmworkers heading to their fields. So I had practically the entire journey to myself and was able to calmly savor every element, every view: the misty horizon, the path itself, some small ponds, the dead trees along the side of the road, the occasional small rural house... Yes, this was enchanting...

La misma soledad que encontré en las calles, la encontré en estos caminos de tierra. A pesar de ser casi las 8:00 AM, no encontré ni siquiera trabajadores del campo yendo a sus tierras. Así que tuve prácticamente todo el trayecto para mi solo y pude aprovechar calmadamente cada elemento, cada visión, el horizonte con niebla, el trayecto del sendero, algunas lagunas, los árboles muertos al borde del sendero, alguna pequeña casa rural... Sí, esto fue encantador...

The strangest thing today was the extreme density of the fog, which didn't allow even a glimpse of the sun during this entire morning walk. When the sun finally began to shine over the valley, it was already after 9:30 AM, and by then I was back on the streets and far from the dirt roads...

Lo más curioso hoy, fue la extrema densidad de la niebla, la cual no permitió tener siquiera un atisbo del disco solar durante toda esta caminata matutina. Cuando finalmente el sol pudo a comenzar a brillar sobre el valle, eran ya más de las 9:30 AM y para entonces yo estaba ya de vuelta en las calles y lejos de los caminos de tierra...
