I remain frankly busy these days. At home we still have a team of three masons who are working on repairing the damages that our house suffered on the day of the earthquake. Fortunately, it was only damage to the roof and some cracked walls and fallen plaster, but it has been a slow process since we are trying to make the repairs with materials similar to those we have always used in our house, which is about 120 years old and has always belonged to our family. For the moment, it has even been possible to reuse tiles, timbers, and old bricks made of mud and woven straw. But this will perhaps take some additional time and it is necessary for me to be present to supervise the works and be attentive to the purchase of materials that are required and thus avoid loss of time. However, yesterday afternoon my wife asked me to make a home delivery of some products to a customer just eight blocks away from our house, and then I took advantage of this activity to take my camera and take these pictures on the way back home... And that is the story of these photos in my post today for you on #Hive! 🙂

Continúo francamente ocupado estos días. En casa seguimos teniendo un equipo de tres albañiles, quienes se encuentran trabajando en reparar los daños que nuestra casa sufrió el día del terremoto. Afortunadamente, solo fueron daños en la techumbre, algunas paredes agrietadas y frisos caídos, pero ha sido un proceso lento, ya que estamos procurando hacer las reparaciones con materiales similares a los que siempre hemos usado en nuestra casa, que tiene unos 120 años de construida y siempre ha pertenecido a nuestra familia. De momento, ha sido posible incluso reutilizar tejas, maderos y viejos ladrillos de barro y paja tramada. Pero esto quizás llevará algo de tiempo adicional y es necesario que yo me encuentre presente para supervisar las obras y estar atento a la compra de materiales que se requieran, y así evitar pérdidas de tiempo. Sin embargo, ayer en la tarde mi esposa me pidió hacer una entrega a domicilio de algunos productos a un cliente a apenas ocho calles de distancia de nuestra casa, y entonces aproveché esta actividad para llevar mi cámara y hacer estas fotografías en el camino de retorno a casa... ¡Y esa es la historia de estas fotos en mi publicación de hoy para ti en #Hive! 🙂
