These are photos taken this morning, December 30th, during a walk through the countryside near my town. The sky dawned overcast, bathing the valley in a soft, uniform, whitish light that noticeably softened the contrasts. This isn't the typical weather we have here at the end of the year, but lately, the weather has become very unpredictable. So it's no surprise that after days of clear blue skies, we've gone to this somewhat gray atmosphere. But these kinds of days are also good for taking photos, so I brought a few to share with you today on #Hive...

Things were happening in the countryside today, more slowly than usual. There were people, cows, a few sheep, very few birds, and even a puppy playing at defending its owners' front door. However, there was also that certain feeling of weariness typical here between Christmas and New Year's. It's as if the whole village is trying to cope with the "hangover" from the past holidays and preparing for the ones to come. Something like a "recovery period" in which daily work becomes somewhat tedious, something which is鈥攊n my opinion鈥攅xacerbated by today's unexpected weather...

Anyway, it was a good morning for me, and I managed to take lots of photos. I even found a small country path I'd never been on before. It never ceases to amaze me how, after 54 years in this town, I still find new places to explore...
