Today I woke up with very little to do; so after making myself a delicious, steaming cup of coffee and feeding my dogs and cats, I decided to go for a long walk to get some exercise. The morning was clear, with a bright, warm sun gradually rising, and I, as I said before, woke up with no work commitments and not much to do at home. But the strangest thing of all is that I ended up realizing I was "thinking about practically nothing," and that intrigued me, since I've been feeling this way quite often lately. It's not that there aren't problems around me—there are. But they're the same old problems, with the same weight as always. And then, you kind of get used to it, and it's like the devil comes to torment you daily but doesn't kill you, and so you end up talking to the devil until he simply becomes part of your daily routine. And I know all this sounds a bit crazy, but you know me and you know I like to write down what's going through my head because it describes me as much as the photos I take, I think. So, that's how I went out into the streets today and took these photos; without thinking about anything, but kind of "searching" for something I couldn't quite put my finger on... And I walked a lot through the streets, and also long stretches along a country road, but I took few photos. But the ones I did take were because they were there "so obvious" that it was practically impossible to miss them despite my mind being completely empty of thoughts...

Hoy desperté con muy poco por hacer; así que después de prepararme un café delicioso y humeante, y dar de comer a mis perros y gatos; decidí salir a caminar largamente en búsqueda de ejercitarme un poco. Y la mañana estaba clara, con un sol brillante tibio calentando paulatinamente, y yo, como dije antes, desperté sin compromisos de trabajo y sin mucho para hacer en casa. Pero lo más extraño de todo esto, es que terminé percatándome de que estaba "pensando en prácticamente nada" y eso me causó curiosidad, pues últimamente me he sentido así con mucha frecuencia. Y no se trata de que no hayan problemas a mi alrededor, que sí los hay. Pero es que son los mismos problemas de siempre y con el mismo peso específico de siempre. Y entonces, uno como que se acostumbra y es algo como si: El diablo viniera a atormentarte a diario pero no te mata, y entonces uno termina conversando con el diablo hasta simplemente este se torna algo cotidiano. Y sé que todo esto suena un poco loco, pero ustedes me conocen y saben que me gusta escribir lo que pasa por mi cabeza porque esto me describe tanto como las fotos que hago, me parece. Y bien, así fue como salí a las calles hoy e hice estas fotos; sin pensar en nada, pero como en "una búsqueda" de algo que tampoco sabría decir que es... Y caminé por las calles mucho, y también largos trechos en un camino rural, pero hice pocas fotos, pero las que hice fue porque estaban allí "tan evidentes" que fue prácticamente imposible pasarlas de largo a pesar de mi cabeza vacía de pensamientos...
