Buenos Tárdes Forward Thinkers-
Making my Bed...Flossing my Teeth...Riding my Bike...are just a few of the good habits I have incorporate into my daily activities...none of these are necessarily something I have to do...because I am just going to mess it up when I get back in...brushing my teeth would suffice...I could just go workout at the gym...yet by doing these behaviors...internally I know I am giving that little extra than the ordinary. And another good habit that I have added to my list of "showing I care" is shoveling snow.
At the beginning of this year, I moved to Detroit...and I noticed that after it snowed...the streets would be cleared...which is fantastic...yet even more marvelous... the snow from the sidewalks For the most part would be shoveled! So after it snowed, I too would shovel in front of my place. Yet then it would snow the next day, and a few days later, then some more in the afternoon...it felt as an ongoing battle that I could not win...every time I cleared the walk way...it would get covered again.
However, my neighbors kept cleaning their portion so I felt motivated to do my part...and the neighborhood is safer for pedestrians because of this. But it also shows good habits, which demonstrates one cares.
Giving that little extra makes something ordinary into something extraordinary...and having support from a community makes giving that little extra easier...I would like to know what good habits you have and see if I am doing them also...thanks for reading and look forward to reading your comments!
