I love Christmas, I really do....in December. I love American Thanksgiving....during the 4th week of November. Finally, I love Halloween the whole month of October through November 2nd. I don't even mind the commercialized versions even knowing their whole place in the economy.
What really has my hair in a bunch is that the first advertisement seen for Christmas was on September 29. Almost 3 months before the actual date and 2 months before the season! WHY!?!?
I like to reminisce in the nostalgia that accompanies not only my memories but others as they relate to the three months of holidays and their place. I like the decorating and buildup to the celebrations they entail. I don't want to the highly commercialized modern holiday season to be thrust upon me before they are relevant.
Just my 2 SBD on the matter.
