Zingtober is done and finally, I can create fan art for Holozing! 😆 I miss using colors and effects, haha. Black and white felt like I was coloring blindly. 😁
The vision for this art is fall or autumn. We only have two seasons, the dry and wet so sucks that I cannot dress up for seasons. Some of my friends who live in a place shared photos of the "orange filtered" trees. So I thought of it as an inspo.
Using the a "retro" palette (that's how I call it haha) I can use this as the base for later's lightihing. I then use flat brush and airbrush for the rendering.
Assuming the light is coming from the back of the character, I used a light brush and airbrush for the glow.
Final Art
I manually drew the trees using a solid pen and then blurred some to introduce some depth. I use a leaf brush that can be downloaded from the asset store. Specifically, I bought the maple leaf brush image and modified the orientation and shape. I mixed in more lights and gradients in the background.
