"... that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (Jn. 3:16)
Did you notice that word "whosoever" ?
God does not play with words! Whosoever means whosoever.
Your race, class, status, age, position, background is immaterial. The only recognised group is "whosoever".
Fornicator at heart or at large? Adulterer? Serial killer? Malice chief? Backbiter? Idol worshipper?
Cultist? Capon? Runs girl?
Whosoever covers you. It includes you. You're within its jurisdiction. Whosoever includes the whole of you: your rotten past, ugly present and bleak future.
It is for this "whosoever" that God gave up His only begotten Son.
What you've done or are currently doing is not the matter. How deep you've sank is not the issue this day. God says WHOSOEVER believes in Him will not perish but have life.
This Son of God is Jesus, and he is the object and subject of God's love for you.
Kiss the Son and live(Ps. 2:12). Embrace this love. Find strength in the fact that Holiness himself invites you to come.
Kiss him sincerely, lovingly, and genuinely. Not the Judas' kiss of falsehood and material gain: it leads to perdition.
Wash his feet with your tears. Dry them with your hair. Kiss them from your heart. Anoint them with your alabaster. Therein will you find life. And it may be, if it pleases him, that where the gospel is preached your name will be mentioned too.
Love bids you come.
To spurn it is to perish.
