RE: After-Action Review for @phillyhistory Project
Clever post, Derek! I agree that we should've become more engaged with others in the Steemit community, but the newness of the platform did limit the number of other posters sharing historical content

RE: Funding Failure
I'm into this, but how about some sort of system where if the microgrant produced something promising, that group/organization/project could then get more money? Like a microgrant to get things started,

RE: What would you fund?
I love your Row Home Museum idea, Ted! Why not throw yourself that $1,000,000?

RE: Does your Art have an Emergency Plan?
Wow, yeah, I guess I hadn't thought about simply not putting museums in disaster prone places. My gut reaction to that is negative, but....maybe it's a good idea? Gosh. How could that be enforced? And

RE: Fair Wages, or Why Steemit Isn't Right for Cultural Institutions...Yet.
Awesome work, Ted. In my process of understanding blockchain I have really clung to the comparison to stocks. But....we wouldn't ask a cultural institution to invest their revenues in the stock market.

RE: On Being a Different Sized Fish in Different Sized Ponds -- Where should I live after graduation?
That's true! Perhaps I should look at jobs with aquatic organizations. St. Pete is definitely the winner in that department.

RE: On Being a Different Sized Fish in Different Sized Ponds -- Where should I live after graduation?
A bunch of great points, Ted! You're definitely right that there are fewer public history students. But you're also right that an older population may come with some negatives. It may be harder getting

Oof! Talk about hitting it where it hurts. I've been really throwing myself into my Digital History class because I think one of my biggest selling points will be tech skills. Even having experience with

I had always wondered what those stars were about but I'd never thought to look them up! Though I think I have seen them in other cities on structures that aren't row homes. This makes me wonder if they

RE: Our Plan to Give Away 3,000 STEEM: Criteria x Capacity = Cultural Capital
I'm excited to see how the organizations respond to our offer. We have our own criteria, but as you noted, they'll need to be wiling to accept Steem, not $. In other words, they need to be willing to work

RE: Another Five Project Ideas. Which One Should Be Awarded 3,000 STEEM?
A paid walking tour internship would be awesome! Could we contact Bob Skiba about that? For the past couple of weeks I've been very team fund Art-Reach internships, but I'm open to other types of paid

While collaborating ideas would be great, I agree with @dduquette's point that it's not ideal to have organizations coming up with new programming when many are still trying to stay above water with their

Out of this bunch, I'm throwing my support behind the paid internship plan for Art-Reach. It seems like a great organization, and I certainly know the struggle of finding paid internships. This is a great,

That's also my favorite one. Paid internships are so rare, especially in this field. I think it's a great way to get people involved when they otherwise couldn't afford to.

RE: One Thing Unpleasant in Gyeongju National Museum
I agree that historic and cultural exchange is crucial, but in so many nations there is an unwillingness to fund culture. How can we convince our political leaders to value history and culture?

RE: Making the Cultural Sector More Accessible from the Bottom Up
I love the idea of using our funds to pay interns. Any thoughts on how this funding could continue beyond our grant? Not that giving those four interns a paid opportunity wouldn't be enough.

RE: Funding a Mobile Museum: The Philadelphia Public History Truck
Great idea. Maybe our $10,000 could fund an event in north Philly. I see on the Truck's website that there's been pretty big gaps between events recently. Also, referencing @dduquette's post, maybe the
