Rising Star: String Machine Instrument NFT Giveaway

This time it also took me 7 days to earn 100k starbits. So out of my 12 packs that I bought, I am going to give out one of the rare cards I got. Unfortunately I did not get any band members so I the giveaways will probably be once very 7 days because it doesn't give me much starbits. If you factor out my Starbit Millionaire quests, I earned around 30k starbits in 7 days.

Giveaway

Out of the 12 packs I opened, I got 4 String Machine cards. This is another card that is about to go out of print as 1735 out of 1750 cards have already been printed.

This is part of the Piano instruments and I have yet to really trade around some of my instruments. It currently has a stat bonus of 60 luck.

The bonus luck increases the number of drunk fans you get and gives you a better chance of getting random prizes after finishing missions. I remember @mawit07 talking about increasing his luck but he did not really see much of a difference. So I am unsure what are the actual chances of a random prizes as I have only received one in the past.

Current Status

This week was even worst as I did not unlock any band members. I have done a total of 20 band auditions and only one of the auditions have been successful. I want to finish this soon so I can go to the next map and start focusing more on earning starbits.

This week I managed to have 3,000 missions completed and received a free pack. It gave me a Jessie and 2 common musicians. I would of preferred better cards but I will take what I can get.

The 12 packs I bought with 100k starbits didn't net me any epic or legendary cards. But this was to be expected since epic cards are quite rare.

The goals are the same but I did not make as much progress as I expected.

As I stated earlier, I had zero luck with getting any new band members. I was expecting at least 1 given the 11 auditions I have done since last week.

My rankings have jumped up a bit from the unique cards and the 13 packs that I have opened since last week. I am opening packs to increase my stats and increase my starbits earning over time. However, I didn't see a huge jump like last time and I was busy so I was not keeping up with the energy usage so my overall time this week is down.

I think more or less the current rate for a giveaway is anywhere between 6-8 days. The giveaways may become more frequent once the band auditions are finished or when the fans start boosting my mission rewards.

Tips (source)

I think the tips are something every new player should know about. It will help people progress in the game and it hasn't really been shared since surya1adiga stopped his giveaways.

1. Take music lessons when possible to raise skill and reduce ego.
2. Having lesson specific instruments helps in receiving more skill from that lesson.
3. Have pizza box to store any pizza received during mission to reuse later.
4. Buy cold pizza slice if possible. This gives 1 refill every 24hours. Comes very handy when you are low on energy.
5. If you have enough of cold pizza slice and pizza box, you will never run out of energy.
6. If you have more fans than skill and you want reduce the ego , you can use a storage trailer to store unnecessary cards. Or you can list the card in market for an unreasonably high price.
7. Ego received for a particular mission increases every time you play it. The ego is reset to base level the next day. So, try to play different missions to control the ego gained.
8. Keep track of your achievements to unlock in game rewards
9. Buy storage trailer (only if necessary) to keep the cards that might have a negative effect. Like a card with high fan count resulting in ego.
10. When earning skill points through music lessons, you can earn more points per lesson if you hold more of specific instrument cards. There seems to be base skill which is rewarded irrespective of the card count and then the skill increases depending on the number of the lesson specific card one has.
11. Try taking up many smaller missions to fill up pizza boxes and have extra energy to play more rewarding missions. But you need to have pizza boxes for this to work.
