Like my last update, I have found myself with some free time during the day, so I have been playing a bit more than usual. I still want to get that max cape by maxing out all of my skills, and I have slowly started to chip away at most of my skills. Additionally, I have managed to get one more agility level, so that makes my base stats 92, and I reached 2,342 total level. That is only 34 levels to go, and I also got 99 Smithing. As I got the last remaining XP right before this post, I decided to grab a single screenshot with 99 Smithing and my stats together. I am getting closer and closer to the finish line, so the last few levels might become slow.
Slayer and Bossing
After the last update with Mortimer, I decided to just go back to Duradel/Konar for Slayer. There are some bosses that I can't get with Mortimer, and I still have a chance of getting an imbued heart or eternal gem doing other tasks.
Hydra
The Grotesque Guardians are a slayer boss, and it's the only boss that I did this week. The task is quite long, and the other ones that I did were small mobs. I also decided to just aim for the grandmaster time, but it did take like 40 tries before my luck was good enough. In the end, I got a 1:13 personal best, so I had more than 6 seconds of buffer. After completing this, I went back to my normal method for this boss. This also means that I got all the combat achievements for this boss completed.
Skilling
I worked on a bunch of skills, but there were three that I focused on: Prayer, Agility, and Crafting. The remainder of smithing wasn't so bad, and I did do a little bit of the other skills around. No guardians of the rift for Runecrafting, but I did do some blood runecrafting in Zeah.
Prayer
I have been stacking up bone shards for a while now, and I have bought quite a few bones over time to get them. By breaking them down, I got most of my prayer experience at Varlamore using the blessed bone shards. The XP is quite fast once I start using the shards, and I went up from 92 Prayer last update to 97. The longest part was breaking down the bones for shards.
Agility
I have been trying for at least 1 agility level per update, but that will break at some point. This week I did 46 runs of the Hallowed Sepulchre, and got quite a bit of agility experience. The drop rate of the ring is 1/200, so I am not that far off from the drop rate. It's been fun, and I find myself clearing floor 4 and 5 chests without too much pressure. It's been mainly an hour or so a day over there, so I don't burn myself out. However, I am not sure if I will continue doing Sepulchre after getting the ring of endurance. I also have enough marks for everything so I am just waiting for that ring.
Sailing
I just find Sailing to be relaxing as I don't have to pay much attention, and it earns me some GP. I am at 99 Sailing now, but I plan to continue doing this, and I am not sure if I should try to afk the deep sea trawling fish. The dragon metal sheets are a hit or miss, but with 99 Smithing achieved, I'll check margins and do it when it's good. Either way, it's a nice easy way to add in some extra profit on top of what I am already salvaging.
Conclusion and my plans
It's been great progress on my account as I got a ton of XP, and I had a bit more free time than I expected. I am glad that I worked on Prayer because it means that my supply costs drop due to the extra levels. At the same time, less slayer and focused a bit on other skills. It's still some decent progress, as those Grotesque Guardian tasks give a ton of experience, but they are long. Agility is still an annoying grind, but an hour a day or so does add up. I decided to grab a Hallowfell, and I plan to max out my attack and defence skills with almost no supply costs in the monkey tunnels.
