It's been a while since Leagues ended, but all that bossing got me tired of killimg monsters. So I focused more on skilling as I am still trying to max out my account. I also got 99 Firemaking this time around. I also increased my lowest skill to level 85, and I don't want to have to do all of that at the end because I left it to last.

Skilling

I worked on a few skills, and it was primarily on Firemaking, Agility, Runecraft, and Construction. I did end up going back towards Sailing after getting Firemaking to 99.

Guardians of the Rift

I focused on the Guardians of the Rift mini-game for my Runecraft experience. I did end up doing quite a few games until I got the full Runecrafting outfit. Once I did, I started moving over to Zeah blood runecrafting as it's a fairly good GP money maker, and more afk. I still want the lantern, so I might go back to it later down the line as they plan to make that useful outside the minigame in the future. Doing the minigame gives me like 60k xp an hour, but the chillway of blood runecrafting gives me about 39k xp an hour. Just a few more levels, and I'll be able to finish the Karajama Elite Dairy.

Shades of Mort'ton

Once I got my Firemaking to 95, I started considering finishing off the Shades of Mort'ton collection log and for elite clues. The prices of remains were kind of high, and I considered it a decent tradeoff to get some elite clue scrolls. However, my luck there was kind of bad so I decided against buying any more at the current prices. It did help me quite a bit in reaching 99 firemkaing though. The Zealot outfit is quite nice as it will make the prayer grind later easier, as there is a 5% chance of saving my bones/shards.

Agility

I did Hallowed Speculchre during Leagues, and I had fun learning the content. I had a rough time learning it in Leagues, but doing it in the main game after was quite fun. I did enough to get all the Hallowed Tools, and that pushed me up a level and a half of Agility. The rest, I spent doing the Ape Atoll Agility Course. It was not fun running laps, and I honestly prefer the Speculchre for Agility XP, but I still want to wait until I have access to the last floor. Honestly, actively dodging obstacles and looting chests is far more rewarding than mindlessly clicking in rooftop agility.

The summer sweepup said they would be lowering the agility requirement to 87, and I plan to revisit it then. I calculated it, and finishing the rest of the monkey backpacks should get me to 87. I am currently at 620 laps, so there are another 1380 laps, but I am not looking forward to it. I'm thinking that I will do some laps every week rather than forcing myself to do it all at once.

Construction

image.png
I have always wanted 99 construction, and I got myself to 98 construction. Instead of doing repair kits, I have decided to do Mahogany Homes as a change of pace. It's far cheaper compared to repair kits since the prices have gone up quite a bit. I don't think I have enough planks left for 99, but I'll see how far things go here. There should be enough planks for me to go at least halfway to 99, and I think I'll just finish off that remainder because the cape is just that amazing.

Sailing

I went back to Salvaging for the Paint. As of now, I am at over 20k salvages on Martial Salvages with 0 paint and 1 sextant. Just for reference, that Sextant is a 1/3000 drop, and the paint is 1/24000. It's a fairly afk grind, and I tend to do this when I am going out during the day, as I can just let my crewmates salvage for me with a 30-minute afk. After I get the paint, I still have one more sea treasure to get. If I get that before 99, I am not sure if I want to salvage until 99 or just do bounty tasks for the other collection logs.

Conclusion and my plans

I am still working towards that max cape, and I made some decent progress in my skilling stats. I got another skill to 99, and I was also able to level up my lowest skill from 82 to 85. It felt nice to do something other than killing monsters after Nightmare burnt me out during Leagues.

Do you play Old School Runescape? What did you like most about it, and did you have any goals?
