Welcome to Three Tune Tuesday!. A nice space in the Music community that was born from the idea of brother @ablaze, where all participants recommend music to each other. These days in Medellín have turned out to be great for me, and musically I have noticed the pride that this city feels in its artists, and I did not know that many of those who have been fashionable in recent years are from here. Today I want to share my favorite songs from the most popular urban music singers from Medellín in the world, they need no introduction...
¡Bienvenidos a Three Tune Tuesday!.
1. Rojo by J Balvin
J Balvin was an artist that I liked from his first song, but I did not imagine that he would have so many successes in the future and that he would have world-class hits. There are few songs that I find interesting in their repertoire but Rojo, from the album Colors, became one of my favorites, so much so that I recorded this cover with my cuatro. Possibly it is because it was one of the few songs that came out at the beginning of the quarantine in 2020 and seeing so much publicity and being one of the few that were in fashion made me love it.
2. Provenza by Karol G
This song is titled one of the first places I passed by here in Medellín and it reminds me of how much the artist loves and is connected to her place of origin. I like almost all of Karol G's songs, but this one has a very special sound, possibly because of its bass in the instrumental track. A party song and great to listen to with headphones...
3. Clandestino by Shakira y Maluma
There is always an opportunity to sneak Shakira into my #ttt, but although she is from Barranquilla, the truth is that I met Maluma thanks to so many musical collaborations they did last decade. They have three songs together, Chantaje, Trap and the one I'm sharing with you today, Clandestino, a very catchy reggaeton that I don't think was as successful as expected, but it seems like the best of the three. This song was not included on the album and was only released as a single.
I left him for last because he was the best, the artist of my generation and with the best songs and hits of the 2000s. Juanes was the first artist from Medellín that I met and this was the first song that came to me, for those who don't Get to know your music, Fíjate Bien is the best way to start 😉
