This is my first post for this community, and although I am not an expert in the game I am about to share, and although it is not one of the board games I ever imagined bringing to this community, it is a traditional game that I have played many times in the past... So long ago that I swear I had forgotten how to play, but my recent visit to Boca de Aroa in Falc贸n State quickly brought back the memories 馃槄
隆Hoy quiero extender un saludo muy especial a quienes hacen vida en la comunidad Recreational Games y a su equipo de moderaci贸n, gente linda y gente bella de Venezuela!. Esta es mi primera publicaci贸n para esta comunidad, y aunque no soy experto en el juego que compartir茅 a continuaci贸n, y aunque no sea uno de los juegos de mesa que alguna vez imagin茅 traer a esta comunidad, es un juego tradicional en el que particip茅 muchas veces en el pasado... Un pasado tan lejano que les juro que ya se me hab铆a olvidado la din谩mica, pero mi reciente visita a Boca de Aroa en el Estado Falc贸n me hizo recordar r谩pidamente 馃槄
In addition to the wonderful pleasure of having our Creole ball court just a few meters from the beach, we were under the shade of palm trees and accompanied by a few cold beers, what motivated me most to write this post is that I did really well in the game, and before we started I told the guys that I didn't know how to play, especially my friend Robert who would be teaming up with me. So they explained it to me, and then they couldn't believe I had no experience, and neither could I 馃ぃ. That's when I remembered what was stored deep in my mind, which was that I did play bolas criollas at an old job I had in Maracay, only at that time, around 2010, I was really bad at it, and they didn't mind letting me know...
Adem谩s del maravilloso placer de que nuestro campo de bolas criollas estaba a pocos metros de la playa, est谩bamos bajo la sobra de las palmeras y nos acompa帽aban algunas cervecitas fr铆as, lo que m谩s me motiv贸 a escribir este post es que me fue realmente bien en el juego, y antes de comenzar les dije a los muchachos que yo no sab铆a jugar, especialmente a mi amigo Robert que har铆a equipo conmigo. As铆 que me explicaron y luego no pod铆an creer que no tuviera nada de experiencia, de hecho ni yo 馃ぃ y ah铆 fue cuando record茅 lo que estaba guardado en lo profundo de mi mente, y es que s铆 jugaba a las bolas criollas en un antiguo trabajo que tuve en Maracay, solo que en ese tiempo, a帽o 2010 aproximadamente, era realmente muy malo, y no les importaba hac茅rmelo saber...
But this time I wasn't surrounded by toxic friends from work. In fact, I got so competitive that maybe I was the toxic one, ha ha ha. But the thing is, being surrounded by the right people pushes you to be better 鉂わ笍 I know it's different, but I feel like this game is literally like playing metras, with the added difficulty of being on a larger scale. Plus, the surface of our little field near the sea was a bit unstable, with some areas much higher than others, so you had to learn to get to know it and become one with the sand. I really liked that it requires precision, and I don't know if it's because I don't really drink much alcohol, but my accuracy was better than my opponents' and even better than my teammate's...
Pero esta vez no estaba rodeado de amigos t贸xicos del trabajo, de hecho, me puse tan competitivo que quiz谩s el t贸xico era yo jajajaja, pero el caso es que estar rodeado de las personas correctas te impulsan a ser mejor 鉂わ笍 S茅 que es distinto, pero siento este juego literalmente como jugar a las metras, con la dificultad de ser a mayor escala, adem谩s, la superficie de nuestro peque帽o campo cerca del mar era un poco inestable, hab铆a zonas mucho m谩s altas, as铆 que hab铆a que aprender a conocerlo y hacerse uno con la arena. Me gust贸 mucho que se practica la precisi贸n, y no s茅 si es por el hecho de que realmente yo no bebo mucho alcohol que digamos, pero mi precisi贸n fue mejor que la de mis adversarios, y de hecho de mi colega en el equipo...
Anyway, sorry for all this crazy stuff I'm writing here 馃き it's just that I'm reliving the moment and I feel like I'm joking around with my friends again. Believe me, I'm not the type of person to participate in this kind of activity, not even a game of dominoes. I'm actually the friend who always sits and watches the others, but life has changed so much lately that I hardly recognize myself anymore, but I'm happy to say that it's for the better. Changing our way of thinking definitely works magic on us and can even change our environment... Was I left wanting more? Well, yes, we could only play on Thursday afternoon when we arrived at Cayo Playuela and then on Friday morning before leaving again for Maracay. I think that's not enough for the beast who loves bolas criollas that has just been unleashed 馃ぃ
En fin, disculpen todas estas locuras que estoy escribiendo aqu铆 馃き es solo que revivo el momento y siento que estoy echando broma nuevamente con mis amigos. Cr茅anme, no soy persona de participar en este tipo de actividades, ni siquiera un juego de domin贸, en realidad soy el amigo que siempre se sienta a ver a los dem谩s, pero vaya que la vida ha cambiado mucho 煤ltimamente, ya casi no me reconozco, pero me alegra decir que es para bien. Definitivamente cambiar nuestra manera de pensar hace magia en nosotros y puede llegar a cambiar nuestro entorno... 驴Qued茅 con ganas de m谩s? Pues s铆, solo pudimos jugar en la tarde del Jueves al llegar del cayo Playuela y luego el Viernes en la ma帽ana antes de partir nuevamente a Maracay, creo que es poco para las bestia amante de las bolas criollas que se acaba de desatar 馃ぃ
