Piazza di Spagna

Happy start to the week my Worldmappin friends! I'm always happy to be back in this space where we share and mark on the map the places we've explored on our travels. Today I want to head back to Rome, Italy, and this time I want to share a little of what I discovered in the Piazza di Spagna, home to the famous Spanish Steps (Scalinata di Trinità dei Monti). It's one of the most popular areas for tourists, and there are many reasons for that, but one of the most important is that it's free to be here 😅

¡Feliz inicio de semana mis amigos de Worldmappin!. Siempre feliz de volver nuevamente a este espacio donde compartimos y marcamos en el mapa los lugares que hemos ido a explorar en nuestros viajes. Hoy quiero dirigirme nuevamente Roma, Italia, y en esta oportunidad quiero compartirles un poco de lo que conocí en la Piazza di Spagna, donde se encuentran las famosas Scalinata di Trinità dei Monti. Es una de las zonas más populares para todos los turistas, y hay muchas razones para ello, pero una de las más importantes es que es gratis estar aquí 😅

The piazza is very large, like all the others in Rome, with enough space for thousands of people to gather at once. It's a bit difficult to take photos or videos for that very reason, but overall I've encountered many friendly people who just want to enjoy the moment. Besides the Fontana della Barcaccia, the palace that houses the Spanish embassy is located here, and the biggest attraction for tourists is the long staircase that leads directly to the Trinità dei Monti church. The fountain is Baroque, and the path is filled with art from that period in general.

La Plaza es muy grande, igual que todas en Roma, suficiente espacio para que se aglomeren miles de personas en un solo instante. Es un poco complicado tomar fotografías o grabar videos por el mismo motivo, pero en general me he topado con muchas personas amables que solo quieren disfrutar el momento. Además de la fontana della Barcaccia, aquí se encuentra el palacio donde funciona la embajada de España en esta ciudad y el mayor atractivo para los turistas son esas largas escaleras que te llevan directamente a la Iglesia Trinità dei Monti. La fuente es barroca y el camino está lleno de mucho arte de esa época en general.

I know I say the same thing every Monday when I stop by Worldmappin to relive these moments, but this is another must-see stop when you visit Rome. A pleasant, historic, and famous place, perfect for hanging out. There are many nearby places to sit down and eat, and street art to enjoy. Church Trinità dei Monti

Sé que digo lo mismo todos los Lunes que paso por aquí por Worldmappin para revivir estos momentos, pero esta es otra parada obligatoria para cuando visites Roma. Un lugar grato, histórico y famoso, perfecto para pasar el rato. Hay muchos lugares cercanos para sentarse a comer y arte de calle que se puede disfrutar. Espero que les haya gustado este post, un poco más corto que los anteriores, pero redactado con el mismo cariño y asombro que sentí por esta bella ciudad.
