All cities have areas that are much more elegant than others. In Caracas, I live in the center, which isn't bad at all. It has important, iconic, and historic buildings, and the mountain to the north of the city makes every corner very special, with dreamlike views. But here, the east is that elegant area where everything seems cleaner, more modern, and more civilized. Lately, I've been going to this area less often, but every time I do, I'm enchanted, especially by the architecture.
Todas las ciudades tienen zonas que son mucho más elegantes que otras. En Caracas vivo en el centro, no está nada mal, tiene edificaciones importantes, emblemáticas e históricas y respecto a la montaña al norte de la ciudad, hace que cada rincón sea muy especial y con vistas de ensueño, pero aquí, el este es esa zona elegante donde todo parece ser más limpio, moderno y civilizado. Últimamente voy menos a esta zona, pero vaya que cada vez que lo hago me dejo embelesar, especialmente con la arquitectura.
I took these photographs in a border area, where the municipality of Chacao ends, Los Palos Grandes begins, and across from Parque del Este. I was on my way somewhere else, but when I stopped and observed the beauty and tranquility of the place, I couldn't help but take a couple of photographs. There were few people on the street, and everything looked really good under the blue sky. It was a beautiful Sunday morning that made me feel peaceful and grateful. Estas fotografías las tomé en una zona de límites, donde termina el Municipio Chacao, donde comienza Los Palos Grandes y frente al Parque del Este. Yo estaba camino a otro lugar, pero cuando me detuve y observé la belleza y tranquilidad del lugar no pude evitar tomar un par de fotografías. Había poca gente en la calle y todo lucía realmente bien bajo el azul del cielo. Un hermoso Domingo en la mañana que me hizo sentir lleno de paz y agradecido.
