Happy weekend to all of you. Here we are still very Christmasy, recording some music videos that will serve to promote our first Christmas album. Once again the stage was the PDVSA La Estancia facilities in the Chacao Municipality of the Capital District of Caracas, and this time we would give life to the popular Gaita “Aquel Zuliano”. We felt the power of nature when filming outdoors because in the middle of the afternoon a heavy rain started that did not stop until we left 😅 but I think there is enough material to complete the music video.
¡Feliz fin de semana para todos!. Por aquí seguimos muy navideños, grabando algunos videos musicales que servirán para promocionar nuestro primer álbum navideño. Nuevamente el escenario fueron las instalaciones de PDVSA La Estancia en el Municipio Chacao del Distrito Capital de Caracas, y en esta oportunidad le daríamos vida a la popular Gaita "Aquel Zuliano". Sentimos el poder de la naturaleza al grabar en exteriores porque a mediados de la tarde comenzó una lluvia fuerte que no cesó hasta que nos fuimos 😅 pero creo que hay suficiente material para completar el video musical.
Es cómico que entre toma y toma nos hagan repetir todo exactamente igual porque aquí entre nos, al cielo no le importa esa regla para nada 🤣 puede que nosotros nos veamos iguales, pero a veces el cielo es azul, a veces es gris... Es libre de hacer lo que quiera, además de varios animales como gallos, pavos reales y morrocoyes que simplemente pasan en medio de nosotros mientras hacemos la música. Es divertido, es diferente, y ha traído alegría a la agrupación. De hecho el cielo gris y grabar en otra zona hace un contraste interesante con la primera canción que grabamos aquí con las chaquetas tricolores, y sin tener que ir hasta otro sitio.
I think the best anecdote I have from that day was when the rain started to fall and we were just starting the song, which by the way is one of the longest on the album with three tenor soloists. We had to keep smiling and pretending to sing, but the looks between us were very funny. Besides, the place is full of trees, but that particular scene was out in the open, so as soon as the director said: “Cut”, the craziest ones ran to the nearest roof, I could only laugh and resign myself to get wet because I can't run with these shoes, and even less after so many days wearing them for more than eight hours.
Creo que la mejor anécdota que tengo de ese día fue cuando comenzó a caer la lluvia y a penas estábamos comenzando la canción, que por cierto es una de las más largas del álbum con tres tenores solistas. Tuvimos que seguir sonriendo y simulando que cantábamos, pero las miradas entre nosotros daban mucha risa. Además, el lugar está repleto de árboles, pero esa escena en particular era a cielo abierto, así que a penas el director dijo: "Corten", los más locos salieron corriendo hasta el techo más cercano, yo solo podía reírme y resignarme a mojarme porque vaya que no puedo correr con estos zapatos, y menos después de tantos días seguidos usándolos por más de ocho horas.
I don't know if my colleagues perceive the same magic that I am feeling with the recording of the videos. For me this is something very big and obviously it will remain for posterity. The fact that our first album is about Christmas also means a lot because I have always been musically active for these dates, in fact the parranda is a hallmark in my family and I grew up listening to it and singing it. Too bad that not all the songs will be recorded, but at least half of them will be included in this video that is being prepared exclusively to share it on our Youtube channel, I have the anxiety to a thousand percent 🤣
No sé si mis compañeros perciben la misma magia que estoy sintiendo yo con la grabación de los videos. Para mí esto es algo muy grande y evidentemente quedará para la posteridad. Que nuestro primer disco sea de Navidad también significa mucho porque siempre eme activo musicalmente para estas fechas, de hecho la parranda en un sello en mi familia y crecí escuchándola y cantándola. Que lastima que no todas las canciones van a ser grabadas, pero al menos la mitad de ellas estarán incluidos en este video que se está preparando exclusivamente para compartirlo en nuestro canal de Youtube, yo tengo la ansiedad a mil por ciento 🤣
Although we have had no rest, October and November have turned out to be a couple of wonderful months for me, personally and professionally, and I am very grateful for that because August and September were very bitter with the events that occurred in Venezuela, although that issue is still breathing down our necks. Probably not everyone around here feels that magic that Christmas brings, but at least through music I have found peace and that has helped me to transmit it also to my family, especially to my wife who must already be tired of listening to Mariah Carey's album every morning at six 🤣 I'm really sorry, but listening to Christmas music early in the morning puts me in the mood for the rest of the day... Aunque no hemos tenido descanso, Octubre y Noviembre han resultado ser un par de meses maravillosos para mí, en lo personal y profesional y agradezco mucho eso porque Agosto y Septiembre fueron muy amargos con los sucesos que ocurrieron en Venezuela, aunque ese tema nos sigue respirando en la nuca. Es probable que no todos por acá sientan esa magia que brinda la Navidad, pero al menos a través de la música yo he encontrado paz y eso me ha ayudado a transmitírsela también a mi familia, especialmente a mi esposa que ya debe estar cansada de escuchar el álbum de Mariah Carey cada mañana a las seis 🤣 De verdad lo siento mucho, pero escuchar música navideña desde temprano me pone en ambiente para el resto del día... Gracias a todos los que leen, comentan y apoyan mis publicaciones, ya saben que el cariño es recíproco ❤️
