Today is #tbt Thursday!. And although this moment is very, very recent, it gives me great joy to share it in this community, because these are the moments we treasure forever... It seems like it was a normal day at work, but it wasn't, my choral group turned 18 this week since its founding; that's the minimum age a singer must be to join our ranks, so those are big words. In a month I will only have 7 years singing here, but added to the years of admiration and hard work to join, I think I am part of this for at least the last 10 years.
隆Hoy es Jueves de #tbt!. Y aunque este momento es muy, muy reciente, me da mucha alegr铆a compartirlo en esta comunidad, porque estos son los momentos que atesoramos para siempre... Parece que se trataba de un d铆a normal en el trabajo, pero no fue as铆, mi agrupaci贸n coral cumpli贸 esta semana 18 a帽os desde su fundaci贸n; esa es la edad m铆nima que debe tener un cantante para ingresar a nuestras filas, as铆 que son palabras mayores. Dentro de un mes solo tendr茅 7 a帽os cantando aqu铆, pero sumado a los a帽os de admiraci贸n y trabajo fuerte para ingresar, pues creo que soy parte de esto al menos por los 煤ltimos 10 a帽os.
I do not know if Jhoxiris and I exaggerate, we were the only ones who wore the official flannel of the choir, the one we usually use for travel, but our sense of belonging and pride is quite high, how to let this moment pass under the table? This choral life brought us together, gives us work and has given us great professional pleasures in our own country, so our happiness was overflowing. What we did not know was that one of the mezzo sopranos would bring a beautiful and delicious birthday cake.
No s茅 si Jhoxiris y yo exageramos, fuimos los 煤nicos que vestimos con la franela oficial de la coral, esa que generalmente usamos para los viajes, pero es que nuestro sentido de pertenencia y orgullo es bastante alto, 驴C贸mo dejar pasar este momento bajo la mesa?. Esta vida coral nos uni贸, nos da trabajo y nos ha regalado grandes placeres profesionales en nuestro propio pa铆s, as铆 que nuestra felicidad era desbordante. Lo que s铆 no sab铆amos era que una de las mezzo sopranos llevar铆a un hermoso y delicioso pastel de cumplea帽os.
It seemed that we were complete and rejoicing in happiness, and in a way we were, but as I told you before, our director is on medical rest, taking care of a fall she had a few days before our trip to Spain and that got worse with the hard work we had there. She had surgery on her foot, and is recovering quite well, but with much affection she sent us a video telling us these beautiful words and reminding us that music is the center and the heart of what we do and that for her we must continue working and growing so that everything is possible in the future.
Parec铆a que est谩bamos completos y regocijados en felicidad, y en cierta forma fue as铆, pero como les cont茅 antes, nuestra directora est谩 de reposo m茅dico, cuid谩ndose de una ca铆da que tuvo pocos d铆as antes de nuestro viaje a Espa帽a y que empeor贸 con el fuerte trabajo que tuvimos all谩. Ella fue operada del p铆e, y va bastante bien en su recuperaci贸n, pero con mucho cari帽o nos env铆o un video dici茅ndonos estas hermosas palabras y record谩ndonos que la m煤sica es el centro y el coraz贸n de lo que hacemos y que por ella debemos seguir trabajando y creciendo para que todo sea posible en el futuro.
Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if so many virtuoso singers had not migrated from our country and from our group. Maestro Abreu's dream was that the national choir would be made up of 200 singers, and that would be the leading group of others that would be created along the way. Our sound is very special, and I think our last tour put nitro to our professionalism. This Saturday we will have our anniversary concert interpreting the most careful music we have done these last years and our director will help us in the audiovisual part, she can't wait to come to the venue and be an active part of the work. I pray to God to continue giving me many years of this, but in the meantime I am filing every precious memory in my heart 鉂わ笍
A veces me pregunto qu茅 habr铆a pasado si no hubieran migrado tantos cantantes virtuosos de nuestro pa铆s y de nuestra agrupaci贸n. El sue帽o del Maestro Abreu era que la coral nacional fuera conformada por 200 cantantes, y esa ser铆a la agrupaci贸n l铆der de otras que se ir铆an creando en el camino. Nuestro sonido es muy especial, y creo que nuestra 煤ltima gira le puso nitro a nuestro profesionalismo. Este S谩bado tendremos nuestro concierto aniversario interpretando la m煤sica de mayor cuidado que hemos hecho estos 煤ltimos a帽os y nuestra directora nos ayudar谩 en la parte audiovisual, ya no aguanta las ganas de venir a la sede y ser parte activa del trabajo. Pido a Dios que me siga regalando muchos a帽os de esto, pero mientras tanto voy archivando cada recuerdo valioso en mi coraz贸n 鉂わ笍
