Happy start to the week, everyone! My vacation has been filled with lots of sea, and I'm totally grateful for life right now. Today I want to share a special post with you. It's not just one place, but several beaches, the mouth of a river, and part of the Camurí area, east of Naiguatá in the La Guaira state of Venezuela. The first photograph I begin this post with is of the mouth of the Miquilena River, located between two breakers facing the open sea. This is where my tour of the different beaches began, all separated by small breakers or river mouths...
Miquilena River
¡Feliz inicio de semana para todos!. Mis vacaciones han estado llenas de mucho mar, y estoy en total gratitud con la vida en este momento. Hoy quiero compartirles un post especial, y es que no se trata de un solo lugar, sino de varias playas, la desembocadura de un río y parte de la zona de Camurí, al este de Naiguatá en el Estado La Guaira de Venezuela. Precisamente la primera fotografía con la que inicio este post es de la desembocadura del Río Miquilena, ubicado entre dos rompe olas frente al mar abierto, justo ahí fue donde comenzó mi recorrido por las distintas playas, separadas todas por pequeños rompe olas o desembocaduras de ríos...
The road to the beaches was quite rustic. A dirt path, unpaved, tucked between several luxurious residential buildings on the seashore, where flowers and palm trees reign. Even so, the place where I stayed was only about a ten-minute walk away. These photographs are from the same day I arrived in the Camurí area of Naiguatá, around 5 p.m., so you won't see people on the beach. The truth is, this whole wonderful place was there just for my family and me, and it was quite an adventure to discover new places, especially this extensive coastline where so many beaches are close together.

El camino hacia las playas era bastante rústico. Un sendero de tierra, sin asfalto, escondido entre varios edificios residenciales muy lujosos a la orilla del mar y donde reinan las flores y las palmeras. Aún así, el lugar donde me hospedé solo estaba a unos diez minutos a pie. Estas fotografías son del mismo día que llegué a la zona de Camurí en Naiguatá, al rededor de las cinco de la tarde, así que no verán personas en la playa, la verdad es que todo ese maravilloso lugar estaba ahí solo para mi familia y para mí, y fue toda una aventura conocer lugares nuevos, especialmente esta extensa costa donde se encuentran tantas playas juntas.
Casinada Beach
From the Miquilena River, the first beach we came to was called Casinada, and true to its name, I was impressed by the vast expanse of sand. There's so much sand stretching from the buildings to the beach that you can get tired of walking. Apparently, it's a little-visited beach; in fact, I didn't see many businesses nearby, but that's actually due to its strong waves, as it's known for being a perfect beach for surfers. Usually, the first day I visit a beach, I dive in to try it out 🤣, but this time, seeing the force of the waves, I decided to just take pictures and go somewhere else the next morning...
A partir del Río Miquilena, la primera playa que encontramos se llama Casinada, y para hacer honor a su nombre, me impresionó el gran espacio de arena, hay tanta, pero tanta arena desde los edificios hasta la playa que uno puede llegar a cansarse de caminar. Al parecer es una playa poco visitada, de hecho no vi que hubieran muchos negocios cercanos, pero en realidad se debe a su fuerte oleaje, ya que es conocida por ser una playa perfecta para surfistas. Generalmente el primer día que conozco una playa me sumerjo para probarla 🤣 pero en esta ocasión al ver la fuerza del mar decidí solo tomar fotografías e ir a otro lugar a la mañana siguiente...
After Casinada Beach, the closest to the breakwater, we find Pelúa Beach, then Panti Beach, and at the end of this long coastline, Pantaleta Beach. It's practically the same beach with a few breaks from small breakwaters, rows of rubber boats, or river mouths. The entire coast is lined with thatched awnings, which are part of the area's decoration, even when there are no tourists. These awnings extend out in rows to the sea, and it really looks great. With my family, I walked the entire area along the shore, realizing that the sand wasn't that soft; it was dominated by stones crushed by the strong waves. The sound is impressive, and the breeze is very cool, even under the harsh tropical sun...
Panty Beach
Luego de la Playa Casinada, la más cercana al rompeolas, nos vamos a encontrar con Playa Pelúa, luego Playa Panti y al final de esta extensa costa la Playa Pantaleta. Prácticamente es la misma playa con algunas divisiones de pequeños rompeolas, fila de cauchos o desembocaduras de ríos. Toda la costa tiene toldos de paja que son parte de la decoración de la zona, aunque no haya turistas, las cuales se extienden frente al mar en fila, y la verdad es que se ve genial. Junto a mi familia caminé toda la zona en la orilla, dándome cuenta que la arena no era tan suave, en ella reinan las piedras trituradas por el fuerte oleaje; el sonido es impresionante y la brisa muy fresca, aunque estemos bajo el inclemente sol tropical...
Pantaleta Beach
Panti Beach and Pantaleta Beach are separated by a small river, which apparently has no name, so I assume it's part of the main river. Another thing I noticed about these beaches in La Guaira State is that cars can park right on the shore. It's a perfect place to spend the day by the sea, listening to music and spending time with friends, but I dare say they're not very good for swimming because of the strong waves. The few people who were there with us just sat on the shore. At the end of Pantaleta Beach, there's a very pretty breakwater that closes off that part of the coast, although beyond it are more beaches, such as Playa Bonita.
La Playa Panti y la Playa Pantaleta están separadas por un pequeño río, que al parecer no tiene nombre, así que sumo que es parte del río principal. Otra cosa que pude apreciar en estas playas del Estado La Guaira es que los automóviles pueden estacionarse en la orilla del mar. Es un lugar perfecto para pasar el día frente al mar, escuchando música y compartiendo con amigos, pero me atrevo a decir que no son muy buenas para bañarse por el fuerte oleaje. Las pocas personas que estaban ahí con nosotros solo se sentaban en la orilla. Al final de la Playa Pantaleta hay un rompeolas muy bonito que da cierre a esa parte de la costa, aunque detrás de el siguen habiendo más playas, como la Playa Bonita.
Bonita Beach
Naiguatá is a remote area for tourists, especially those living in Caracas, which is why it's uncrowded and the beaches offer a wealth of beauty and serenity. In addition to the extensive coastline and numerous beaches, you can also see the high mountains to the south, the same ones where I hike with my friends, from the other side. Naiguatá es una zona lejana para los turistas, especialmente para quienes viven en Caracas, motivo por el cual hay poca gente y las playas ofrecen mucha belleza y serenidad. Además de las extensas costas y numerosas playas, también se pueden apreciar las altas montañas hacia el sur, las mismas donde hago senderismo con mis amigos, desde el otro lado.
