Motivated by the failed attempt to implement a certain "economic development model" that we will call socialism,in fact that's what it's called, and if you don't believe me I invite you to search the internet, in a certain country that was once part of "Gran Colombia" (South America) and whose name means "little Venice" or at least is what I remember from history classes, a series of unfavorable events and situations were developed for the beautiful people who live there, to the point where they need to carry out a strategic movement, which is nothing new, known as migration.
Unlike our ancestors, the need to migrate is not motivated by the need to hunt or collect but to try to live a life that we consider normal. That's my first mistake, to believe that I would have a normal life similar to what I once had. When our way of being and expressing ourselves is typical of a certain culture, when we migrate, even if it is to the neighboring country, we always feel as if we were in an strange house, well that is what happens to me and this is my story and I write what I want! : P
One day you are sitting in an office discussing the terms of a million dollar contract, another day you are picking up the waste of the owner's dogs where someone finally gave you a job and where you simply have to endure humiliations because you don't have where else to go.
One day you make the transport of the company where you work wait in front of your house because you decided to sleep "5 more minutes" while another you have to get up at 4:00 am to be able to arrive at 7:00 a.m. to your new job.
One day you are laughing with your companions of a lady who perhaps didn't have the necessary education to be able to express herself better while trying to sell you some homemade candies, another day you're praying that the person who is going to open the door you just knocked will buy you the products that you are selling to be able to earn a commission and buy some food.
One day you are deciding which group of friends you should go out with and what excuse to tell to your others friends, another day you may be wishing you had a friend to go out with, just to walk and talk.
One day you prefer to be locked in your room with your things instead of sharing with your family, another day you may need a hug from your mother or a talk with your father, one that bored you so much, and now you only have that phone with which you ignored them so much.
With this writting I dont' mean that all those who decide to emigrate will be the same, but it is my personal experience and I wanted to share it with the world. The point is that, wherever we go, we are not going to have a "normal" life as we were used to since at the end of the day what we wanted was a "change", Right?, if not we wouldn't have emigrated in the first place. Unfortunately sometimes changes are not as we expected.
