That afternoon in the park

The day was hot
the house was an oven and my spirits were on the floor
I could not stand it any more
I put on the lightest clothes I found
I left my house, like the one who has seen a ghost
I walked several streets, to the nearest park
maybe some nature can relax
despite the heat, the streets were crowded
the children played and the adults sat down to chat
others were looking for ways to cool off
only I was walking towards the park

I stop at a store and buy some cold beers
but when I turn to the exit
I see her, so beautiful, so charming
she crosses her gaze with me
I realize that I'm standing in the middle of the store
with stupid face
she smiles at my reaction and I smile too
my face blushes and I'm ashamed
I take my purchases from the counter and leave the place in a hurry
ignoring the voice that called me

I arrive at the park, I see that it is very lonely
but that makes it more fantastic and mysterious
I lie down on a bench and close my eyes
I try to remember his face, but I can not
that instant was so fleeting that I could not even memorize his face
I wish I could see her again, to be able to take away this anguish
now I can not relax, so I look in the bag for the beers
but there is no beer, there is only juice. I mistook the bags
I'm frustrated, I do not feel like going back to the store.
so I spend the rest of the afternoon drinking juice, sitting on that bench
it would be a lie to say that I enjoyed it
I could not even look at the park
I only thought about her and her diffuse face

I see that there are only two bottles of juice left
I'll be home soon
I do not even know why I stayed here
someone comes running
I look out of curiosity and I'm impressed to see it
he had his pale skin pearled by sweat
their eyes were looking for something
until they met mine
she smiles and gestures to her bag
or rather my bag
my face is red again, I drank what she bought
she notices and makes a gesture of disapproval
then throw my bag with beers in a dumpster
I'm a little surprised and she laughs at my reaction
she sits next to me and sighs from exhaustion
surely spent all that time looking for your purchases
now found them, or a small part of them
I feel that my face is going to explode from shame
she looks at me in surprise as she realizes and I look down at her
I'm afraid to look at her again and see her rage
but she touches my shoulder and I look at her
She is smiling again, she has a beautiful smile
offer me another drink and I take it sorry
she uncovers his and begins to drink with longing
must be very thirsty
I look at my juice and I uncover it
I drink it all at once
I almost drowned in the attempt and I play a good time
she laughs again and also coughs
we both laughed

I close the door behind me
the room is a little dark and still very hot
I lean back on the wall, repeating that moment over and over again
my face hurts because I'm smiling without stopping
I remember your smile face so beautiful, so delicate
but I'm sad knowing that I'll never see her again
maybe i should not have left
yes, I should have stayed in this oven that I call home
because if not, I would not be so excited and at the same time so sad
well, would not have so many feelings that contradict each other
but I smile again when I remember how I smiled
I would like to have another day as terrible as today.

I may have another pretty chance...
