Desde su presentación en la Europa League, de manera especial, desde su eliminación al perder el partido de vuelta, el Barsa está presentando su peor cara de la temporada, de tal forma que ya hasta se está jugando el título de liga que hace una semana lo tenía casi asegurado. Situación complicada, sin lugar a dudas sobre todo siento yo porque se tenían unas expectativas sobrevaloras sobre una actuación más destacada del equipo culé.
En efecto, se tenía la esperanza y el deseo (por mucho que Xavi lo negara en rueda de prensa) de que se pudiese levantar la copa de la Europa League, lo cual no sucedió, al igual que el año pasado, es decir, un equipo de Champions que por segundo año consecutivo no ha podido pasar ni siquiera a los octavos de final, es un golpe psicológico fuerte. Por otra parte, una liga que la pudiese haber sentenciado casi en su totalidad en su último partido contra el Almería, lo perdió de una manera estrepitosa, ya que propuso muy poco (por no decir nada) para encarar el enfrentamiento.
Finalmente, también hay que ver el estado actual de la plantilla, con bajas muy sensibles, porque se trata de figuras esenciales para la propuesta de juego culé. Por lesión estarán ausentes Dembelée, Lewandoski y Pedri, un tridente de ataque excepcional con lo cual no se podrá contar, y por amonestaciones (acumulación de tarjetas) Gavi y Raphina, que ante la ausencia de los anteriormente mencionados eran un apoyo importante, pero ahora que ya no están (sobre todo para el próximo partido de Liga) dejan al equipo con más dudas que certezas.
¿Se puede tener todavía esperanzas?
Esta es la pregunta que me surge y comparto con la comunidad, ya que pareciera que no hay nada que hacer, sino esperar que lo peor suceda. Digamos que mi opción no es el pesimismo, pero si hay que ser realista no podemos negar que para que el Barsa pueda superar los actuales obstáculos con los que se encuentra tendrá que hacer un esfuerzo ingente.
Digamos que tiene a favor la ilusión de hacer una buena temporada logrando al menos el título de liga, y un poco mejor incluso si se corona en la copa del rey. Además, si antes estaba obligado a ganar tanto financieramente como para saldar una deuda deportiva, ahora lo está más por las mismas razones, potenciadas al doble.
Particularmente, siento que su entrenador, Xavi, debe pensar muy bien lo que va a realizar en los próximos enfrentamientos, tanto para el bien del equipo como para el suyo propio, porque su mal desempeño ante las competiciones europeas obviamente no lo dejan bien parado ante los ojos de los demás.
Dos enfrentamientos cruciales
Mañana el equipo del Barsa se medirá en el partido de ida de la copa del rey contra el Real Madrid, en el Bernabéu y con la baja de los lesionados, no así con la de Gavi y Raphina, con quienes podrá contar, y que le da un poco más de flexibilidad en sus posibles propuestas de juego. No será lo mismo con el partido del próximo domingo, donde se medirá en partido de la Liga contra el Valencia, allí sí tendrá ausencia de los amonestados, lo que deja parco de opciones el planteamiento del equipo.
Siento que es el momento donde primeree el juego psicológico y emocional, pues, la tarea parece muy cuesta arriba, pero no es imposible, el recurso se tiene, lo que hace falta es más confianza y un mayor enfoque. Es el momento en que el centro de campo luzca desde el talento maduro de Busquet y De Jong, y que delanteros como Ansu Fati y Ferran Torres demuestren que todavía se puede confiar en ellos.

A complicated situation, without a doubt, especially I feel because there were overestimated expectations about a more outstanding performance of the culé team.
Indeed, there was the hope and the desire (even if Xavi denied it in a press conference) to lift the Europa League cup, which did not happen, just like last year, that is, a Champions League team that for the second consecutive year has not been able to pass even to the round of 16, is a strong psychological blow. On the other hand, a league that could have been almost completely sealed in their last match against Almeria, they lost it in a resounding way, as they proposed very little (if not nothing) to face the confrontation.
Finally, we must also look at the current state of the squad, with very sensitive casualties, because they are essential figures for the culé game proposal. Dembelée, Lewandoski and Pedri, an exceptional attacking trident, will be absent due to injury, and Gavi and Raphina, who were an important support in the absence of the aforementioned players, but now that they are out (especially for the next league match) leave the team with more doubts than certainties.
Is it still possible to have hope?
This is the question that arises and I share with the community, since it seems that there is nothing to do but wait for the worst to happen. Let's say that my option is not pessimism, but if we have to be realistic we cannot deny that for Barsa to overcome the current obstacles they are facing they will have to make a huge effort.
Let's say that they have in their favor the illusion of having a good season achieving at least the league title, and a little better even if they are crowned in the King's Cup. Moreover, if before they were obliged to win both financially and to pay off a sporting debt, now they are even more so for the same reasons, boosted twice as much.
I particularly feel that their coach, Xavi, should think very carefully about what he is going to do in the upcoming matches, both for the good of the team and for himself, because his poor performance in European competitions obviously does not leave him in a good light in the eyes of others.
Two crucial matches
Tomorrow, Barsa's team will face Real Madrid in the first leg of the King's Cup at the Bernabeu, with the absence of the injured players, but with the absence of Gavi and Raphina, with whom they can count on, which gives them a little more flexibility in their possible game proposals. It will not be the same with next Sunday's match, where they will face Valencia in the league, where they will have the absence of the cautioned players, which leaves the team's approach short of options.
I feel that this is the moment where the psychological and emotional game will take precedence, because the task seems very uphill, but it is not impossible, the resource is there, what is needed is more confidence and a greater focus. It is time for the midfield to shine with the mature talent of Busquet and De Jong, and for strikers like Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres to show that they can still be trusted.
