Sometimes you are poetry

 
Sometimes you are poetry,
Other times you are melancholy,
a distant echo
that settles in the soul.
Sometimes you are what keeps me alive,
the spark in my veins,
the fire that fuels
the dreams you hope for.
But other times, you are what kills me,
hidden in my sorrows,
a dark torrent
that reveals the lights.
You are the hidden verse,
the song that echoes,
in every heartbeat
you are a dance in my mind,
a river that flows
between laughter and tears.
