Hello Hive Open Mic Community. Greetings, and I'm glad to be participating in this week's contest again. When I saw the theme, I suspected that it wasn't an English word, so I decided to check for the meaning using the Deepl translator.
Just like I suspected, the Deepl translator translated my theme word 'PERDON' into other English words like sorry, excuse me, pardon, and apologies.
On seeing that, a song came to my mind and it was Take a bow by Rihanna. So please watch the video and see me doing a cover of the song.
I feel that this song fits well with the theme because of the storyline. Quite a few years have passed since I watched the music video for this song for the first time. Listening to the song, however, it strikes me as a song about a couple who have recently broken up because of unfaithfulness in the relationship. It also seems like the guy kept coming to apologize but the lady wouldn't accept the apology.
Such an apology would be extremely difficult to accept, right? Every time you cheat, I catch you in the act just when I think that you're sorry. That's so heartbreaking and I can imagine how much it must have hurt her. That probably was what made her say, 'Baby, I know you're only sorry you got caught.'

PS: I noticed that when you watch the video and it gets to 3:06, it stops playing. I am not sure why that is happening but I also noticed that refreshing the page and forwarding it to 3:08 helps in avoiding that interruption.
