I was myself a huge fan of customer reviews but a certain incident helped me to change my view dramatically. Our refrigerator broke down and my mother asked my help in selecting a good one for our home. As usual, I started reading the specifications of several products and shortlisted three for my mother's approval. Before making a final decision both of us went through the customer's reviews thoroughly. At last, we reached a decision but let me tell you the reviews were an important part of that decision. The refrigerator was purchased and to our despair, within two months it started leaking water into the vegetable compartment. My mother was aghast but as it was in the warranty period we informed the company of the problem. We wanted to change the refrigerator but were told a firm no as a month had already crossed and the exchange could happen only in the first month. The serviceman came and cleared the problem and another four months went by and again we were facing the same problem. The refrigerator is now two years old and we are still reporting the issue to the company. I wrote about it on the site but later saw that it had been deleted. This is the actual truth of customer reviews. The negative impact is not shown so how can we make a correct decision based on the given facts.
