Watching
Hiding in the greenery
In the shadows of our minds
Slipping behind the scenery
Such a marvelous find.
Elusive and effusive
Changing shapes as it goes
Passing through forms illusive
Ending up where no one knows.
Adrift in our thoughts, ideas alight
Filtered each time by the watcher
Set there to make things right
In our ears, whispers of the Father
Watching and gliding and guiding;
A conscience is a marvelous thing.
