I modified the diagram made by the VA appraiser, with the buildings in approximate relationship to the actual house, and explaining what they are.
This was Tuesday, after I'd moved my TV, the case and all the crap it was sitting on (sound system etc)

Sunday, while the xFinity guy was here connecting my internet (at the new house; I am currently paying for elect, water, internet at two houses)
I was talking with him, and stepped off the cross ties that make the boundary of my driveway.
It is Autumn, there are leaves piled up, and I was unaware of the HOLE in the crush&run that makes up my driveway.
I nearly fell, but caught myself, but my whole body has been hurting, (especially my artificial hip) ever since.
I do NOT HAVE TIME to stop and go to the Dr for this, but I did call, I got no help though. So I am taking it slower than I would have liked.
Today, after yesterdays work (for which I have only short videos that I am NOT going to upload somewhere JUST so I can post a link, [this is a great failing of this platform imo])
There was a plan for a friend with a truck to come today.
Today it rained.
SO
This part was easy, compared to getting this stuff UP the front steps and INTO the house
This was around 11 am.
I didn't make it back HERE to Smyrna until almost 3 PM.
I made one trip over, took the dining table, which was a task, but in the end me and my 'southern ingenuity' got it done without too much strain.
Then the back sliding door, back and forth to Lowe's, bought one replacement, obviously wouldn't fit, so I took what was IN the door out and went back to Lowe's, they didn't have it.
They had one where the HANDLE would fit the screw holes, (over $20) but the hole for the latch mechanism wasn't right at all, so I had a $10 drill bit in my hand along with the door handle/latch
(I was going to have to MAKE it work, and I didn't like that, the risk of damaging the door etc..)
so the sales man told me to call "All Windows", only my phone had no internet to look up a number 😱.
Long and short I've spent ALL DAMNED DAY on this door handle, and the company had to order a replacement ($55, half now, half when it gets here and we're sure it fits)
I have just now returned to Smyrna for the first time in 5 hrs.
I may go back, it is raining but I won't melt. "Salt lumps, sugar melts and shit floats" so I am in no danger.
That which was postponed today because of rain, was going to happen tomorrow afternoon, because of my commitment as fill in caregiver for my niece's quadriplegic hubby.
Now I've had word that the DAR
(Daughters of the American Revolution... yes, several of my ancestors were honored veterans of that war) meeting where she was to play her flute, has been changed from in person to a Zoom meeting.
Now I am awaiting word to see if my moving helpers can make it earlier in the morning.
