In my dream, I saw an old shoe,
one lonely shoe.
It was old and beaten up.
It didn't have a mate.
It appeared to have been
left behind by it's owner, after being worn out.
Somehow this seemed terribly familiar,
like I should know what it meant.
Then I realized...
I was the shoe.
