Standing at the gate, gazing at the dawn of a new day,
Filled with hope and trepidation.
Will we come together, in joy, hope and play?
Or will it be more conflict and division.
Our future is in our hands; stepping through the gate
Into a rainbow filled new day, or
We can keep on our blinders,
Seeing darkness on the way.
Our answer must be in unity, joining
For a better future for all.
No need for name calling, backbiting and spite.
Let us walk together into the morning,
Putting behind us the past and the night.
