A couple of days ago, Felix came in acting strangly, panting with his tongue hanging out etc.. running for no apparent reason (at first.)
I noticed that when he stopped to lick his left forepaw, that triggered the Zoomies, so I looked and found this cut.

I had some Gabapentin (for cats) left from Tommy's neutering, so I gave Felix a very small dose (orally) it seemed to calm him almost immediately
I had to leave for a little while, when I came back I found him thusly

Then for the rest of the evening he would not leave me

Astonishingly, next day his would was no longer raw red, and he was back to normal

Today, it no longer looks red at all.
I learned a new term thru all this, a "Toe Bean" which is that pad which was cut.
I love my babies
