This is part VI of an VIII part series about what my company Wealth DynamX believes. It is my intention to create both fans and haters alike with this article. In previous articles, we have covered the importance of personal responsibility, production, studying, and many others. (To read the previous editions click here).
I want to jump right into this with the next 3 non-negotiable beliefs that Wealth DynamX has created.
Commit first and figure the rest out later. What would you say if I told you that your whole life is made up? You may not believe me but it’s true. Every single decision you’ve ever made started as an idea. Ideas are literally imagined. They are made up. You then consciously or sub-consciously committed to the idea and did that actions to make the ideas real. The concept that you must take time to “think about it” is completely false. Thought is instantaneous. As a client of mine, you will be asked to commit to things when you don’t have it “all figured out” You do it with every other area of your life. Why would wealth be any different. Make up a goal and commit to it. You’ll figure it out as you go!
Finish cycles of action. One of the biggest commonalities among those we are financially broke is that they do not finish things. Just think about it. How many times have you started something and not finished it? My company believes that we finish what we start and we don’t start things we don’t intend to finish. We live in a culture that has embraced quitting and making it okay through justification. The truth is, being a quitter is one of the worst things a person can be. Wealth requires that you finish what you start and so do I.
No pointless meetings. As we discussed before, time is second most valuable asset next to life itself. This means that time must be invested wisely. One of the biggest calamities of the financial services industry is pointless meetings. Did you know that financial advisors will actually have their clients come in for a meeting to simply read the client what their statement says? It’s true! And it’s called an “annual review”. Not only do I believe that is an insult to your intelligence but I also believe it is a pointless meeting. We only meet to create. We are creating your future, creating an investment, creating a plan. If there is no creation, then a meeting is discounting your precious time.
These three beliefs are beliefs I learned as I have grown in my business and wealth and I have found to be true over and over. It is important they when you choose someone to trust to help you build wealth that they have beliefs deeper than the standard statements made by a financial advisor like “I have integrity” “I am honest” “I believe in good customer service” and “I am a hard worker”.
