For a long time I was dissatisfied with the sound of my Android smartphone. Wired as well as wireless headphones played music badly, boring, without sparking. That's why I decided to buy an external digital-to-analog converter (DAC) Lotoo PAW S1 at the end of 2020. Lotoo is a little-known Chinese company, but it has a very good reputation among audio professionals.
The DAC arrived in a beautiful black box. After connecting the smartphone (supplied with the short USB-C cable), a miracle happened. The music suddenly plays cleanly, strongly, with zero noise. The sound has tremendous space and depth. The best result can be achieved with the USB Audio Pro player, but also players like Spotify or YouTube video sound great now.
I'm a music lover and often on the go. The combination of telephone and headphones is therefore logical for me. I can say for myself: the best invested 165 USD. And I can advise everyone: don't settle for the sound quality of your phone and upgrade it with an external DAC. There are a large number of them on the market, from the cheapest to the most luxurious. It's really worth it!
