In my last post I talked about converting my old desktop into a retro gaming PC. It's running Windows 7 Home Premium with specs that even old laptops would openly mock. Still, it'll work for what I need and costs me practically nothing, so why not?

My next step in the process is going wireless. I don't want to keep pulling a kitchen chair up to the TV to play games. Rather than buy multiple USB extension cables, I ordered a wireless converter. This will let me have the keyboard in my lap, mouse on the end table and I can game from my living room chair, couch, etc.

It says the device is only compatible with USB mice and keyboards but I plan to test that. I have a spare powered USB hub I plan to hook into it and see if I can also run my Logitech wired gaming controller through it as well. If not, I may just have to get an extension cable for the controller. It won't be the end of the world. I vaguely recall also having owned a wireless Logitech gaming controller at one point, so I'll have to do some digging and see if I can find it. Either way, this will be a nice upgrade to the system!
