Hi dearest hivers and to all art buddies out there! I miss here so much! It's been 4 months straight without checking here, coz there's so much have to do and also poor internet connection is the reason why ☺️
Well, I don't know where to start again and how to start. 😅 But I want to start it by sharing my arts/ Portraits (Charcoal portraits).
Doing arts, portraits, drawings is one of the things I love to do, It's fun and I'm enjoying it much NOT UNTIL ONE OF MY CLIENT (I shared here before, I'm doing commission portraits) one of my client NOT SATISFIED ON MY ART OUTPUT.
Well I did my best to do this, but my best doesn't good enough hahaha
coz my client not that satisfied on it. It was sad so I lost a bit of my interest in drawing for almost a month hahaha, that's the impact of it.
I made that portrait a month ago, I already moved on and now I feel better and I was planning to accept Commission portrait again, and ready to face any criticism again. Well it's for my improvement so I'm learning to take those positively.
I want to share some quick process how i did this.
I used half inch grid,to copy the reference photo more accurately
Medium: Charcoal and graphite
As I always do, sketch first before detailing. I always starting in on the eyes, followed by nose lips, and skintone.
hair is the hardest part on this reference, I spent 1 day for the hair only. I used inkless ballpen for the hair strands, they call it indenting.
1 spent 3 days for the whole portrait. And I love the outcome but my client didn't hahah.
