Saturday night: A visit to different christmas villages

December 19, 2022

Visiting christmas village is more fun with friends and family.

Last Saturday noontime, my husband made a promise to our son as well as to other children who were there in the church. He encouraged them to take a nap or have a sleep. He said that he will bring them to different christmas decorations from Dole Company which brings the world to people (this will be another blog) upto different christmas village in town plus a free popcorn for them.

Some children who hear that promise also said that they wanted to go with us. To our surprised, some women or parents also wanted to join.

The kids were so delighted and find themselves a space on the chair to sleep on. When they wake up they were so excited that the evening will come.

After our Sabbath worship, we went home and prepare food for our dinner. My son and his cousin were eating excitedly and wanted to finish them early so we could go early.

While we were eating, some of our churchmate came and ask if it is really true that we were going to visit christmas villages in town? My husband said yes and they said they will go with us. My husband answered to them, "sure why not? the more the merrier."

Some of the church member who knows our plan, wanted to go with us too. We didn't expect that a promise to children became an invitation to everyone.

Imagine, we went to town together, we traveled with three tricycles and 1 motorcycles. We are seven families together with other singles who join.

As we go, we were so happy. It is like we came from a very far mountain going down to the town where in fact town is just a 15 to 20 minutes drive.

All of us agreed together because all of us haven't visited Christmas village yet and since weekend, the next day most of us don't have work and children don't have classes anymore. So, it is the best time to stroll around.

When we reached the town proper, we directly proceeded in front of our Municipal hall where different christmas villages were located. It is made by different cooperatives in town.

Oh! after two years of not having this, here we are again enjoying the sight of different Christmas decorations. Two years ago, Christmas villages like this were located in front or near the different cooperative offices and this year they were all put together in front of the Municipal hall which I personally like because it became a one stop visit to all of them.

Without further ado, let's go and visit each of them.

This is our first stop. We wait until everyone who is taking picture is done and all of them enter the little house. Oh look at them, this house seems really just for kids as only kids can stand inside the little house. Adult or tall person will just sit in order to enter the house. Everyone find their space and me took a picture of them.

The little house have this caption "T'was the night before Christmas. The little house have lights that brightens the smile of everyone. I remember the story in the Bible when Jesus Christ was born, there is a big bright star that guides three wise men from the east where the baby Jesus was born. Those three wise men brings their precious gift to the baby.

This is also the reason why people loves to give gifts during this season.

Next stop is TIBUD SKMPC Christmas village. Off course, we won't passed by with out having a group picture.

Some of our church member wasn't in the picture because some kids directly went to the food stall and off course mother or father is running and following them, lol.

The third christmas village is what I love the most. It portrays the Municipality and gave a different message for everyone through the words in their decorations. This is what I like the most but was surprised to see my picture which is so dark please pardon me because of it, lol.

The fourth village portrays the little house where Jesus Christ was born. We found some hays and a place for a baby. Kids directly sitted to this spot.

As we are having picture taking, some people were looking at us. Might be they are thinking why we are so many? Or might be they were thinking we are one big family. In other way, yes we are a family because we are churchmates, neighbors, sister in law and friends.

The fifth christmas village is created by CAMPCO, another cooperative in town. They have a little fountain in front that it is also good to see.

We really had fun hopping in one by one in every Christmas villages.

The last one is the FARB Christmas village. I find this simple and bright.

After the last village we then ask to each other, where's next? Then children wer pointing the big Christmas tree in the middle.

I tried to capture a good picture but I can't because it seems dark in that side and a lot of people were staying there. Even armies were there and my husband requested them to join but only one of them join in the picture.

I capture this in the other side and it looks more clear and bright.

After this, we went to a food stall and look for some food to enjoy. We had a popcorn and a mango shake, other had french fries and others had burger.

It was a great night with kids, with friends, with family and with churchmates. It was unplanned but turned out successful.

After eating we stroll around for a while and let the kids run as they can before we decided to go home. This is in front of our Municipal hall with a caption Bagong Polomolok which means new Polomolok.

Giving time to stroll around is beneficial. It relaxes our mind as we enjoy the place. While strolling we forget about the worries of life and just enjoy the moment.

Thank you so much for reading. See you in my next blog.
