I'm not a trump supporter, I'm not a clinton supporter.
I think these days the only real political idea I can get behind is VOLUNTARYISM; the idea that all people are born free and all involvement in any human organization should be voluntary. You could have social programs, with voluntary participation, maybe it would look like the best of Sanders and Ron Paul ideas put together, perhaps...anyways..
Sometimes when you feel bad you need to investigate if it's really you or if everyone around you is just being an asshole, right? Well, just like the scenario where everyone around you is simply an asshole and in addition there is the phenomenon of internet echoing chambers when ppl have the idea, "if you vote for this candidate or have this idea I'm unfriending you"...blah blah blah... so this way everyone in their feed as the same ideas, sometimes the group can have a "negative or tunnel visioned mentality".
When we have groups of ppl are soooo sure they are righteous, we have Democracy and even if it's not rigged, it is MOB RULE. The only way to stop the rule of a slim majority or even a vast majority from bulldozing over everyone else is to protect the power of the individual to make decisions for themselves, not protect what the majority wants for everyone else.
Maybe it's time to stop looking for rulers of us all and to start having MORE faith in our personal power to create the world we want to live in without forcing our will on others. Voluntaryism; the idea that good ideas don't require force, I think that's an empowering idea for everyone worth exploring or at the very least be aware that the idea of Voluntaryism exists.
