Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets is the platform to showcase your battle strategy and winning moments. This allows you to share your insights, experience, and journey about the game. Let's start it with the battle between the (2) Two Legendary Untamed Summoners "Yodin Zaku" and "Byzantine Kitty".
This battle is taken in the last Splinterlands Open Tournament 6-anniversary held last Saturday. I'm glad I've reached round 2 of the tournament and be in the top 74 out of 703 players. Well, that's a great run for me, and I got a "Rebellion" pack as a reward. Those battles were intense and the excitement was there. Let's look at this battle and see what happens here. Vonak!!!
RULESET: Keep Your Distance
Description:
Units with melee attacks may not be used.
Use Phase, Void, Void Armor, and Magic Reflect to counter magic attacks.
Use Headwinds and Return Fire to counter ranged attacks.
Units with 2 types of attack (which include melee) cannot be used.
Summoner: Yodin Zaku
This fire summoner buffs your team by giving an additional +1 health and the ability to blast. It also buffs your range damage lineup by giving them +1-range damage.
First Position: Prismatic Energy
This is a good tank for this kind of battle rulesets because of its (3) three magic damage and a decent amount of health which is (11) eleven.
Second Position: Infernal Firestorm
Same as the monster in the first position this also has the same magic damage and health but it has a large amount of armor (7) seven to be exact. This can substitute the tank in the first position if it dies.
Third Position: Efreet Elder
A magic damage monster that deals 3 damage with a decent amount of health.
Fourth Position: Djinn Inferni
5 magic damage monster but with low health vulnerable to 4-5 damage of enemies. It can easily be taken down if not properly protected.
Fifth Position: Imp Bowman
2 damage range monster with 5 speed but with low health.
Sixth Position: Flame Mephit
2 damage range monster with a decent amount of health.
LOST LEGENDARIES
Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.
BACK TO BASICS
Monsters lose all abilities.
KEEP YOUR DISTANCE
Monsters with Melee attacks may not be used in battles.
The battle rulesets clearly say melee damage monsters cannot be used so expected that opponents will use magic damage and range damage monsters in the battle. All monsters also lose their abilities and no legendary can be used. This can be a basis for your strategy and an idea of what your opponents will be utilizing in this battle.
Since there are no abilities for monsters they will be relying on their summoners buff and debuffs. So choosing a good summoner that will synergize your team lineup can be a factor in winning the battle.
In this battle, I've chosen the legendary summoner "Yodin Zaku" because of the buffs it can give all my units. Specifically, the blast damage that it can inflict on enemy monsters. My monster's lineup is heavily equipped with a decent amount of magic damage and medium-range damage.
Prioritizing monsters with a large amount of health that will be filling the first and second positions is crucial because it will dictate the sustainability of your team lineup. That's what I do in this battle not only in the first and second position but also in the third position.
I won this battle because I had more firepower than my opponent. My opponent has a good lineup but he focuses more on healing but it lacks firepower. Seeing its first and second position does not have damage makes his lineup destroyed. I guess I have the better strategy. Good Game (GG) buddy!!!👊
And that's for my blog for this week Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets Theme "Keep Your Distance". Hope to see you again for another Battle Mage Secrets. Thank You for your time and attention. See yah!!!
